Half of The SDGs? President of Taiwan Lung Meng Advanced Composite Materials CO., LTD, Henry Liang: Best of The Sustainability

In the previous report 《Influence The World with A Piece of Paper! President of Taiwan Lung Meng Advanced Composite Materials CO., LTD, Henry Liang: Use Stone Paper to Create Midas Touch》, President of Taiwan Lung Meng Advanced Composite Materials CO., LTD, Henry Liang mentioned how the paper made of stone saved the world.

In today’s interview, Mr. Liang shares that the stone paper not only qualifies to the ESG but also reaches eight goals from the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Stone paper can save more!

“A piece of paper reaches eight out of seventeen in SDGs, how?”

Henry indicated that the stone paper is forbidden in using bleach, acid, and alkali, it is safe, non-toxic and reduces waste water treatment. It reaches goals 3rd and 6th, Good Health and Well-Being and Clean Water and Sanitation.

Solar panels in the factory and the AI-based equipment comply with goals 7th and 9th, Affordable and Clean Energy, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; materials are waterproof and reusable, reaching goal 12th, Responsible Consumption and Production.

Reduce carbon emissions and sewage discharge, without using trees resources, comply with goals 13 to 15, Climate Action, Life below Water and Life on Land.

What if we reuse the stone carton several times?

“Generally, every human uses 51 kilograms of paper a year. If each of us choose to use the stone carton, we can save 3.14 million tons of paper!”

Henry said that although stone paper is very environmentally friendly, if we want to protect the environment, stone paper is not enough! If we reuse it, we can reduce 1.22 million tons of carbon emissions, save 62.8 million trees, and 88.87 million tons of water.

Henry emphasized again:

“Stone paper is durable and environmentally friendly, but if you want to protect the environment, you must change yourself first.”
