Withings won the 2023 CES Innovation Award with its U-Scan, an urine analysis platform connected to a smartphone.
Elizabeth said that “U-Scan can be installed in a toilet, which allows users to obtain accurate information on their health and urine condition simply by analyzing characteristics in urine, after that U-Scan will send the data to an app which is installed in users’ phones.”
Not only the analysis of health from urine, the U-Scan can give suggestions to the user based on the data which was sent from the device in the toilet. The suggestions include hydration, exercises, diet and even vitamin ingestion.
U-Scan allows humans to control their own healthiness by themselves, which is in line with the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goal 3rd: Good Health and Well-Being; with less people need the medical supplies, we can not only save the resources for those who in need, but also have a more sustainable life.
