Within the cultural margins where women’s health remains too often overlooked, De Pure is quietly yet resolutely igniting an awakening—of body and soul. This revolution does not announce itself with fanfare; it begins with the most intimate of daily rituals: feminine hygiene. It calls into question how women understand their bodies, respect themselves and others, and reimagine their futures.

Founders Debby Chen and co-founder Lilian Chen have journeyed together along this challenging path. They are well aware that the true difficulty has never been market competition, but rather the silence and uncertainty many women face when encountering irregularities or discomfort in their intimate health:

“More often than not, it’s not that women don’t wish to speak, but that they simply don’t know how.”

This insight stems from Debby Chen’s own quiet memory—years of experiencing irregular periods and unusual discharge without ever confiding in anyone. It took her a long time to realise that this wasn’t a solitary experience, but a shared story for countless women:“We didn’t start this business just to fill a market gap. We started it to open the door to dialogue—so that women could come to know themselves, freely and without fear, and be empowered by accurate knowledge to care for their bodies.”

Products as a Form of Respect; Business as a Vehicle for Values

De Pure is not merely about creating a product—it represents an attitude. Its core ingredient, a patented volcanic mineral nano-ion, provides a physical layer of protection through a gentle, low-irritation formula. Each item is manufactured under stringent GMP standards and passes numerous international safety tests to ensure peace of mind. This soft yet enduring form of care offers women with sensitive or delicate intimate areas a more comfortable choice when facing physical changes.

The brand never tells women what they should do. Instead, it gently reminds them: your body deserves to be listened to, understood, and cared for with intention.

This philosophy also inspired the creation of De Pure’s Intimate Essence Gel. Founders Debby Chen and Lilian Chen recall, “Many of our female friends had experienced intimate discomfort. These stories were never rare.” Particularly in Taiwan’s humid subtropical climate, the discomfort of summer heat highlighted the lack of products that truly combined safe formulas with a female-centered design.

Driven by this insight, they began developing De Pure’s Intimate Essence Gel, undergoing multiple stages of research, testing, and refinement. Every detail—from ingredient selection and texture development to packaging design and user experience—was crafted from the perspective of real female needs. The result is a product that offers companionship in the most sincere, thoughtful way, helping women reconnect with their bodies.

“We never saw this as just a bottle of gel—it’s meant to be a starting point for conversation.”

Debby shares real feedback from exhibitions and letters: young girls whispering, “Is this normal?” or mothers holding back tears while purchasing, saying, “In our time, no one cared about intimate care.” These voices have become the living proof of De Pure’s mission. Intimate care is not merely about forming a habit—it’s about healing a relationship: the relationship a woman has with herself, and her connection to other women.

“Care is the beginning of a conversation—and the beginning of healing.”

Throughout their entrepreneurial journey, Debby and Lilian have believed that partnership is more than division of labor—it’s a multiplier of impact. They hope this spirit of shared purpose can expand to like-minded brands and organizations, creating a business ecosystem centered on women’s health. Because only when products for women are grounded in accurate knowledge and meaningful values can true change happen.

To some, De Pure might simply be an intimate care brand. But at its core lies something deeper—a soulful, gentle response to the female body. It reminds every woman that she is worthy of being understood, cared for, and respected.

De Pure’s intimate care products are more than functional treatments—they embody the brand’s deep respect and understanding of women’s bodies. With gentle yet effective technology, they safeguard women’s health and transform “self-care” into a journey of self-reconciliation and meaningful dialogue with the world. (Photography: De Pure)

From Taipei to the World: Making Women’s Education the Foundation of Sustainability

This care transcends geographic and cultural boundaries.

Debby Chen understands that while women’s needs may manifest differently across cultures, their essence remains the same: all women long for understanding, dignity, and the power of choice.

As the founder of De Pure, Debby Chen has called on fellow entrepreneurs to donate products and share knowledge—launching initiatives to promote women’s health education. She further urges businesses across the Asia-Pacific and around the world to join the effort, allowing the warmth of corporate participation to become a force for changing the destinies of women worldwide.

“When companies choose to care about real issues, sustainability becomes more than a slogan—it becomes action.”

This vision, shared with co-founder Lilian Chen, has also gained support from Diana Cheng, Governor of District 31 (Taiwan and Mongolia) of Zonta International. Debby Chen notes that Zonta International has long worked quietly and steadily alongside different sectors:

“Our belief is rooted in the idea of ‘Building a Better World for Women and Girls,’ with a core mission to elevate the status of women and improve their well-being. This collaborative public welfare initiative for women’s health products, launched in partnership with businesses, not only addresses local women’s health issues but also serves as a tangible act of corporate social responsibility. Such cross-border collaboration echoes Zonta International’s global commitment to gender equality and demonstrates our ongoing efforts to connect local action with global impact.”

Diana Cheng pointed out that this initiative has brought greater attention to women’s health and expressed hope that its impact will expand to support more women in need:

“There are still many non-profit organizations around the world working to secure rights and health resources for women. We hope that more companies will respond to this call and help illuminate a future of hope for women. This is also Zonta International’s steadfast commitment to a world without gender-based violence and discrimination.”

True Empowerment Is When Every Woman Dares to Say: This Is My Body, This Is My Choice!

Debby Chen explains that De Pure’s mission is, at its heart, a gentle yet powerful movement—one that weaves together health education, cultural awareness and commercial value. While the journey began with intimate care, it has never been confined to it:

“Our hope is that women no longer feel ashamed or silenced when facing discomfort in their intimate areas. When knowledge becomes part of everyday life, when businesses choose to be value-led and cultivate sound awareness, and when ideas are shared meaningfully across social and international channels, then every De Pure product becomes a message born of love.”

This founding vision closely aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 5: Gender Equality, and Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities. De Pure firmly believes that businesses are not merely economic participants, but active agents of social progress and global good. True sustainability is not limited to environmental responsibility—it encompasses a profound commitment to human dignity and values, especially the right of women to bodily autonomy and health.

Lilian Chen adds that De Pure will continue to champion the widespread dissemination of women’s health knowledge. Through educational platforms, community-based initiatives and cross-sector collaborations, they aim to make body literacy a defining element of this new era. Their vision is to unite with like-minded partners to co-create a scalable, impactful business platform that empowers women across the globe with greater dignity and freedom of choice:

“We believe that when women begin to have honest conversations with themselves—when they learn to love themselves—the world begins to change.”
