Nikon Senior Marketing Manager Mark Cruz: New Changes in Aerial Photography Will Revolutionize the Game of Photography

Mark Cruz, Senior Marketing Manager of Nikon, sat down with 《The Icons》 to discuss their latest product, “Riblets,” which was unveiled at CES 2023. The “Riblets” are a game-changer in the world of photography, offering users a unique and innovative way to capture stunning images.

The “Riblets” are a set of small, flexible lenses that can be attached to any camera lens. They work by breaking up the flow of air over the lens, reducing drag and turbulence. This results in sharper, clearer images with less distortion and noise.

Cruz explained that the “Riblets” were inspired by nature, specifically the ribbed texture found on shark skin. This texture helps sharks move through water more efficiently, and Nikon has applied this same principle to photography.

“We’re always looking for ways to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in photography,” Cruz said. “The ‘Riblets’ are a perfect example of that. They offer a new way to capture images that was previously impossible.”

The “Riblets” are also environmentally friendly, aligning with Nikon’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By reducing the amount of energy needed to capture high-quality images, the “Riblets” help to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable practices.

Overall, the “Riblets” are a game-changer in the world of photography, offering users a new way to capture stunning images while also promoting sustainability. With this innovative product, Nikon continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in photography and set new standards for the industry.
